
Dr. Frances Carter
Dr. Carter is a clinical psychologist based in Christchurch who has worked clinically with people with disordered eating for approximately fifteen years. She has published papers in leading journals looking at a range of topics such as the effectiveness of psychological interventions for disordered eating, the effect of depression on weight, the impact of disordered eating on weight and interpersonal functioning, and the impact of childhood obesity prevention programs on psychological functioning. She is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and the Otago University Obesity Research Consortium.
